195-198 Taking advantage of a free dock
For the next few days the weather was reporting high winds and more tornado's. Since we had our brush with one already we decided not to push it. We were tied up well, had access to stores and restaurants, and Chris had good internet..... so no sense in leaving until the coast was clear.
By Wed night the docks were filled up. We all made as much room as we could and the dock held 8 boats. We went out to eat Mexican with Chong and another couple from s/v Sea Turtle. Then the next night all the free dockers got together for a pot-luck on the picnic tables. The wind was blowy on and off for those four days but either we were just in a great spot or it wasn't as bad as they had predicted. We were antsy after two days to get rolling... but we waited it out. We could taste home from here and at that point both of us just wanted to be home. Almost 200 days.... thats a long vacation :)
