This was a missing post .... damn those web gremlins !!

So Sunday (May 1rst) we did make it home. It was a windless day and ended up being a motor trip... that's fine by us, it was the end of the line. We celebrated at the Va line, and had a drink as we entered MD. I was so excited when we were in Tangier Sound... home was just a few miles away. We ended up getting in around 2pm .... Chris went home by bike to retrieve the car and I straightened out the boat and took out the trash ... then we loaded up the necessary things, and the cat and went home.

Its now been almost 2 weeks since we've been back, and we are still getting back into the land groove. The boat is resting, tucked into a new slip. I have taken 50 baths, and Chris has room to pace, and an office that's bigger than the boat. We are adjusting well. I have to say the thing that was hardest to get used to was driving again. I mean when you are used to going 5-6 knots... 75 miles an hour on a highway feels insane. Once we dusted and cleaned up the house Chris's sister and the crew came down to look at houses, woo-hoo now Chris will have family close by. Then Russel from s/v Lady Pauline stopped in for a week and hung out, Chris has been getting some catching up with some of his personal work.... and me well Ive been playing in the yard, gardening and landscaping. After 7 months on the boat playing in the dirt was exactly what I needed. We haven't been back to the boat other than getting food, clothes and a few other items off it. We are just chillin out, and throwing around a few ideas for what we will do this fall/winter, but for now we are just going to enjoy our spring and summer on the bay..... there isn't anywhere else we would rather be :)
